The image describes various stages in the life of a silkworm.
Overall, the life cycle of the silkworm consists of four main stages: egg, larva, silk thread, and cocoon. In addition, it takes around 11 weeks for a silkworm to grow from egg and to mature into adult individuals.
The process begins when a mature silkworm lays eggs on a mulberry leaf. After a period of 10 days, larvae then emerge and feed on the leaf to grow. Between 4 and 6 weeks later, they start to produce silk thread, after which they cover themselves with that substance to prepare for the next stage.
According to the diagram, from 3 to 8 days later, the cocoon, which is produced from silk thread, works as a shelter for the larva. After 16 days, the adult moth comes out of the cocoon, ready to lay eggs and the entire journey is repeated all over again.
