The given maps demonstrate the reconstruction of West park secondary school which occured over the span of sixty years from 1950 to 2010
Overall,the site had experienced a profuse development of the landscape.It transformed the area from a relatively simple residential district to more contemporary as well as more spacious one .
It can be observed that in 1950 the citizens were residing in the housing area which situated in the northwestern part of the map .Consequently ,in thirty years houses were demolished to create a room for a science block and car park.Whereas science block remained without changes ,the car park profoundly expanded to southeast,shifting the sport field which was initially a farmland.
In the northestern corner of map was occupied by school which remained the same across the given period and also,in 1980 had become main building .Due to the described modifications the playground had to be shortened so that the sports field could fit nearby.Finally,the main road along the northen part had been preserved over the provided timeline.
