The maps provided offers insights into the transformation of student accommodation buildings from 2010 to present.
The most striking features from the illustration are that while the top of the map witnessed the most remarkable changes, the opposite was true of those for the remaining areas after the period surveyed.
As far as the year 2010 is concerned, the student accommodation construction was surrounded by a garden at the top and the bottom. There was a main entrance at the bottom left corner of the map, across which a long hallway connected to all rooms was reported to be. The biggest central area was occupied by a student bedroom and a shared bathroom. Along the right side, a smaller student bedroom and a kitchen were situated. Another student bedroom and a spacious living room could be observed to the north of the kitchen.
Regarding the current layout, the main entrance, the hallway, the student bedroom and the bathroom at the central area remain unchanged. There was a construction of a parking lot at the expense of the garden, which was located at the bottom of the map. In addition, the student bedroom at the bottom right corner had a new entry leading to an advanced construction en-suite room. While the living room was demolished to make way for another new student bedroom which can connect with the room next door, the kitchen was incorporated with a social area. A piece of garden adjacent to the living room was flattened to make way for a new student bedroom with two doors, one of which can be accessed from the hallway and the other is from the garden.
