The maps illustrate how a student accommodation building has changed between 2010 and the present day.
Overall, the accommodation has been redesigned to accommodate a larger number of students. The number of bedrooms has increased from three to five, while the living room and one of the garden areas have been removed to make room for additional facilities.
In 2010, the building was surrounded by garden areas on three sides. Entering through the main entrance on the western side, residents could access a hallway with a student bedroom and a bathroom on the left and a kitchen and another bedroom on the right. At the northern end of the building, there was a living room adjacent to a further bedroom.
At present, the bathroom and three original bedrooms remain unchanged. However, the northern garden area and former living room have each been converted into additional student bedrooms, increasing the total number from three to five. Furthermore, the kitchen has been expanded into a combined kitchen and social area, while an en-suite room has been added near the southern end of the hallway. Finally, the southern garden has been replaced by a car parking area.
