The maps illustrate how a school library has been modernised over the last five years.
Overall, it is clear that the library has become more convenient with new facilities and more private zones for self-studying.
Looking at the first map, it can be seen that five years ago the central area was occupied by studying tables, which have now become private in order to minimise distractions. While the bookshelves behind the tables remained unchanged, those in front of them were turned into desks for students’ laptops, as well as a computer zone at the back right-hand corner.
Currently, there is a conference room in what once was a library office. Due to the emergence of the conference room, the meeting room on the left has been diminished and is now almost half the size it used to be. Moreover, three rooms on the left-hand side have been divided into four areas, with separate borrowing and returning areas and a recordings studio where a classroom once was.
