The two maps illustrate how a public library has changed over the past five years.
Overall, the library has undergone several changes in terms of both facilities and layout, with some new modern features added to improve user experience.
To begin with, the classroom and meeting room, which used to be located on the left-hand side of the library, have been removed. In their place, a recording studio and a new meeting room have been constructed, possibly to better support collaborative and multimedia work. Meanwhile, the borrowing and returning desk has been split into two separate sections labeled borrowing and returning, and moved further to the right-hand side.
Another significant transformation is the studying area. The studying tables, which were once placed in the center, have been replaced with private studying tables and additional desks for students’ laptops, suggesting a shift toward more individual and tech-oriented studying.Additionally, the library office, formerly located in the bottom right corner, has been replaced by a conference room, while the exit & computer desks on the far right have been relocated and are now marked as desk for students’ laptops. In contrast, the bookshelves in the upper and lower sections have remained unchanged, indicating that book access is still a priority in the library.
