The line graphs depict the statistics about changes in urban and rural population in some given places between 1950 and 2010. It also includes the forecast about these changes for the future. On the whole, there are different trends in two groups: less developed and more developed. Urban population increased over the time in both groups, contrasting with rural population.
Regarding less developed regions, there is a upward trend in urban residents. Despite the fact that it was only almost 30 millions in 1950, it surged after that, being anticipated to peak at over 5000 millions in 2050. Compared with rural citizens, in 1950, there was approximately 1500 people in countryside, going up dramatically to reach at 3000 individuals after 60 years. In spite of that, in the future, it will experience a slight decline trend (2800 citizens in 2050).
On the other hand, in more developed regions, both categories differ each other clearly. City dwellers witnessed the increasing of people, growing continually up to 1000 by the end of the period. Rural residents, however, dropped steadily over 20 years, hitting a low of 100 individuals in 2050.
