The line graphs depict the statistics about changes in urban and rural population in some given places between 1950 and 2010. They also include the forecast about these changes for the future. Overall, there are different trends in two groups: less developed and more developed. The urban population increased over time in both groups, contrasting with rural population.
Regarding less developed regions, there is an upward trend in urban residents. Despite the fact that it was only almost 30 millions in 1950, it surged after that, being anticipated to peak at over 5,000 millions in 2050. Compared with rural citizens, in 1950, there were approximately 1,500 people in the countryside, going up dramatically to reach at 3,000 individuals after 60 years. Despite that, in the future, it will experience a slight declining trend (2,800 citizens in 2050).
On the other hand, in more developed regions, both categories differ clearly from each other. City dwellers witnessed an increase in people, growing continually up to 1,000 by the end of the period. Rural residents, however, dropped steadily over 20 years, hitting a low of 100 individuals in 2050.
