The first chart gives data about how much British parents spent for their children’s sport from 2008 to 2014. The second chart illustrates the number of participants of three sports among children in the same country during the same time period.
It is noticeable that the average monthly spending on children’s sport rose steadily during the mentioned time period. By far, football was the most popular sport among the children during the same time period, in 2011 athletics gains more popularity and overtook swimming until 2014.
In 2008, British parents spent 20 pounds per month for their children’s sport on average, the average spending saw a gradual steady rise, until in 2014, it reached nearly 30 pounds per month.
Football was the most popular sport among the British pupils with nearly more than 7. 5 million participants in 2008, in the same year Swimming and Athletics was 2. 5 and nearly 1 million respectively. Although Football continued its way to be the highest participated sport until 2014, Athletics overtook Swimming by reaching 5 million participants in 2012. Swimming was third in number of participants among British children in 2014
