The first pies illustrate the amount of energy consumption in Autralian household and the last one indicate the percentage of gas emission which cause greenhouse effect. In general, the household in Australia used the major energy for heating whereas the proportion of greenhouse gas emission for water heating account for a largest of the pie.
Approximately 42% of energy that was consumed by the domestic unit in Australia for heating. Surprisingly, despite being the most utilized energy source, it only contributes to 15% of greenhouse gas emissions. Heating water account for the largest percentage of the total energy expenditure at 30%, making it the most harmful gas emission which causes greenhouse effect at 32%, compared to haft of that for heating.
Regarding to the energy usage chart, the three source of energy used for cooling, lighting and refrigeration comprised of around 2% to 7% of the whole figure. The Australian consumed for it account for 2%, 4% and 7%, respectively. As a result, their impact on the environment is relatively low: 3% for cooling, 8% for lighting and 14% for refrigeration. Similar data applies to other appliances, with 15% for people usage and 28% for gas emissions
