The line graph demonstrates the quantity of clothes, measured in millions of dollars, that were imported by Bangladesh between 1988 and 2012, while the pie chart reveals the exporting locations and value of clothing in 2012.
Overall, the value of exported clothes from Bangladesh experienced exponential growth despite a stable increase in the first half period. In addition, the largest contribution was relevant to the European Union and followed by the USA. The remaining share was allocated for other locations (Canada, Japan, Turkey, and unspecific destinations).
To begin with, the value of exported clothing depicted a stable rise before boosting to a peak. In 1988, the figure climbed marginally just over 0 million dollars to approximately 5 million dollars in 2000. Following this, the figure made a substantial rise which started from nearly 5 million dollars in 2000 and reached the highest level at 20 million dollars in 2012.
According to data of places and value of exported clothing, the proportion of the European Union was completely dominant, which is calculated at almost 2 out of 5 of the whole value in 2012, and followed by the USA, which is allocated for around a quarter of the whole share. The next destination was Canada, where 8% of clothing was exported in the same year. Coming to Japan and Turkey, both of them experienced relatively similar percentages, in which the proportion of Japan was 2% and Turkey was 1%. The contribution of unspecific nations accounted for just 8% in 2012.
