The process shown in the flow chart illustrates how the tourists negatively affect the rural area by trampling the ground.
The initial stage is trampling itself, pressing down the grass by walking on it. As a consequence of this flora destruction and soil compression occur.
If the grass and flowers are damaged, they are getting feebler and incapable of generation and growth, resulting in decreased greenery. Soil compaction in the meantime leads to the lack of water and oxygen in it, making the plants unable to reproduce. What’s more it becomes the reason for increased erosion in the lands and brings about diminished vegetation. That in turn causes the shortage of water in the ground, erosion and poor condition of soil and plants.
