The diagram gives information on the processes involved in the production of instant coffee.
The man-made production process of instant coffee first starts with the pinking of coffee beans and ends with the beans being packed into jars. There are 11 total steps in production, but they can be divided into two main stages: the processing of beans and the processing of mixture.
First of all, the process begins with coffee beans being picked up by hand. They are then spread out on a field to be sun dried. Later, they are roasted by flame in a furnace before being cooled rapidly in a fridge. The beans are then passed through a grinder, where they are down into fine powder. After that, the powder is mixed with hot water and later strained to remove bean scraps.
Afterwards, mixture collected is then put into a fridge to be frozen, and is put back into the grinder subsequently. Last but not least, the grinded mixture is dried inside of a vacuum, where excess moisture is drawn out. Finally, the end product is transferred and put into jars and are ready to be fore sale in supermarkets and shops.
In sum, the diagram clearly illustrates the production process of how instant coffee is made from coffee beans.
