The given floor plans illustrate the differences between a museum in 2010 and 2012.
Overall, the many various changes happened in the presented period of time. They were mostly focused on expanding the permanent exhibition space and narrowing the staff and storage areas. Also, a museum-related shop was opened.
To begin, the first diagram, which shows the plan in 2010, demonstrates, that the museum had an entrance area at the side, which guided people to either restrooms or the visiting exhibition space (VES). This section then was followed by the permanent exhibition space (PES), that, hopefully, was connected to the staff- and storage-related rooms, though it is not mentioned on the plan.
Whereas, the museum was experiencing many alterations during the given two years time period. For instance, as it has already been mentioned, the PES expanded significantly – moreover, the entrance to the building was moved to this area. Then the visitors could either proceed to the newly opened shop to the left from the main doors or to the right to the VES. The latter also had staff- and storage-connected rooms, though they became much smaller.
