The maps illustrate the changes experienced by the clocktower roundabout in Dubai. Overall, it can be seen that this part of town had become more industrialized and crowded with people and cars. Due to this, the area surrounding the roundabout had became less environmentally friendly as well.
In the past, the town looked like a bare plane of farmland that has just started with the construction of a few, namely three, tall buildings. Additionally, every corner of the street, except for the rounsabout, are planted with trees and bushes, and there are no forms of transport detected.
In the present day, the town has developed into a large-scale urban city with a generous number of buildings and skyscrapers. The trees on ever corner of the road were cut down and re-planted in the circular path around the roundabout. Aside from that, the roads were bustling with trasportation, mainly cars, of people commuting to their workplaces.
