The two maps show the town of Springer in the year 1970 and in current time, and its development over a certain period.
According to the 1970 map, it is portrayed that there are only 2 houses for living indicating a low population, followed by the conclusion that 1 store in the center is enough. Moreover, it depicts the farm with the largest territory compared to other buildings. However, forests are still the main part of this town and surround all other structures. It is possible for people to travel through the town, but only via one road.
Years later, the town has been occupied by a myriad of people, which means that Springer needed many more houses. For that reason, all of the small houses were destroyed, and apartments were built. It is shown that there are 6 high-rise buildings, four of which are located in the South and the others are on the opposite northern side. Nevertheless, there is still one regular house standing in the south-eastern angle of the map. With an ever-escalating population, the demand for facilities has been increasing too. Subsequently, 5 more stores are situated in the central part of the town for the current time. Talking about the building standing right in the center, we can notice that this is a school, which obviously has an enormous educational value for the new inhabitants. There is also one new construction–an airport–on the north-eastern corner. Taking a look at other old parts of Springer, it can be mentioned that both the farm and forest areas were dramatically decreased; though, they never ceased to exist.
