Overall, the highest proportion of adults aged 20 and older and chilfren aged 2-19 ate at home. While the lowest percentage of adults ate in other places away from home, children ate in restaurants.
In 2005, in the USA, 68% of adults aged 20 prefered ate at home, approximately the same percentage of children also ate at home. The second highest percentage of adults ate at fast food joints, 13%, about the same percentage was recorded in children.
Only 7% of children ate at school, and 7% in other places away from home. By contrast, 9% of adults ate at away from home places. 10% of adults ate at restaurants, which was the two fold of percentage recorded for children. 14% of children ate at fast food joints, which was the second highest proportion.
