The four bar charts illustrate the proportion between students of both genders who had good academic performance in five subjects at Parston school and national average. Overall, Parston school consistantly out performed the national average. While males gained higher results than female in Math and Science, the opposite pattern could be seen in the remaining subjects
Looking firstly at males, Math led, at 45% at Parston school and 35% at national average, followed by Science, at nearly 43% and 33% respectively. At Parston school, the grades in the three remaining subjects did not exceed 30%, with arts being the lowest, at 22%. In terms of national average, the comparable proportions were recorded in those subjects, with arts being also the lowest at 20%
Turning to females, the rate of high grades in Math was the highest, accouting for 40% at Parston school and 32% at national average, followed by Science at approximately 37% and 30% respectively. When it comes to Parston school, the figures for the academic results in the three remaining subjects made up comparable proportions, with arts being the lowest at 30%. Regarding to national average, the results of those subjects did not over around one-third, with arts also being the lowest at 27%.
