Overall, while male students were good at math and science, the remaining subjects attracted female students more. Moreover, all students at Parston school performed above the national average in all subjects.
Regarding Parston school students first, male students got high grades in math and science, 45% and 43%, respectively, compared to their female counterparts with respective figures of 40% and 38%. Just below 30% of boys were good at humanities subjects, followed closely by girls at 35%. 30% of female students got A and B in art classes, while only 22% of male students managed to do this. Girls were more active in learning languages, and roughly 34% of them achieved high grades, compared to boys at around 28%.
In terms of national average figures, 35% of boys and 32% of girls achieved high grades in maths, on average. Science made up 34% of male students and 30% of female ones. Average figures for male students in humanities subject were 27%, relatively lower than female students just above 30%. Art and language were more interesting for girls in this nation, 26% and 30% respectively, followed distantly by boys with only 20% of them achieved high scores in art and 25% of them in language.
