The given bar graph compares the locations where people used to browse internet between the years 1998 and 2004 in the United Kingdom.
Overall, it is evident from the chart that the percentage of people surfing the internet from home was the highest throughout the years. However, the number of people accessed internet at work decreased after 6 years.
It can be seen from the graph that in 1998 the percentage of internet users from home was above 50% which declined to below 50 by the year 2000. From then, it had a gradual increase and in 2004 it reached about the same number of people as that of 1998. The least used place was the library which had just above 10% in the year 1998. There were minor fluctuations, but it reached about 15% by 2004.
Interestingly, the number of people that browsed online from work remained almost the same in 1998 and 2000 at close to 30%, but reduced eventually and dropped below 20 percentage by 2004. Similarly, the use of internet from college remained at 20 percentage in 1998 and 2000. The rate increased in 2002 to above 20%, but declined to below 20 percentage by 2004.
