The pie chart demonstrates the proportion of various leisure activities favored by people and ranks what they like to do in their free time. It is strikingly evident that individuals reduced the use of conventional TV and flat-screen TV throughout the years.
In 2009, conventional TV recorded the highest figure at 34%, followed by laptops at 20% and desktop computers at 18%. Together, they gained 72% dominance. Moreover, mobile phones received an honorable mention with 15%, whereas tablets and flat-screen TVs showed the lowest utilization.
In the period of 2019, conventional TV significantly declined to 4%. In addition, laptops dropped significantly from 20% to 12%, while desktop computers remained relatively stable, with only a 5% decrease. In contrast, flat-screen TV became the most popular hobby and the most utilized device at 27%. Furthermore, mobile phones had a considerable boost to 26%, and tablets increased by 14%.
To sum up, three activities were dominant in 2009. However, those activities gradually lost their balance over time, whereas three others experienced a dramatic rise.
