In the line chart we can see the trends of stock price (measured in a range between zero and 35,000) of four big tech companies over a period of six years starting in 2011.
It’s clear that we have here four different patterns for each company trend. Apple’s prices oscillate abruptly with a peak in 2012 reaching 35,000 and a valley below 5,000 in 2015; this one displays the biggest range. All in all, we could say that Apple’s stock prices lack stability. Meanwhile, we face Google’s trend line and see the lowest overall prices but in a stall fashion.
Yahoo and Facebook display lines that mirror each other. Even with both starting at the same level, on one hand Yahoo presents a steady down slope over the course of six years ending in a nadir under 5,000 in the year of 2016, on the other hand Facebook’s line shows a continuous rising reaching 20,000. This constant rise could be viewed as the best trend amongst all four companies.
