The image shows a line graph of global water use by sector from 1900 to 2000, with the y-axis representing cubic kilometers (km³) and the x-axis representing years. Three sectors are represented by different colored lines: agriculture (black), industrial use (red), and domestic use (green). Agriculture has the highest water use, increasing from around 500 km³ in 1900 to nearly 3000 km³ by 2000. Industrial use starts at nearly 0 km³ in 1900 and reaches just over 1000 km³ by 2000. Domestic use remains the lowest, starting at nearly 0 km³ in 1900 and reaching just under 500 km³ by 2000. At first glance we can see the huge increase in water demand for agricoltural porpuse and in the part for industrial porpuse in less than 100 years.

The consumption of water for agricoltural porpuse went from 500 km3 in 1900 to 3000km3 in the year 2000, in a stunning 600% increase of demand, instead of the industrial and domestic use, it only started to increase around the year 1960, in particular for the industries it went over 1000 km3 of water and a littel less of 500 km3 for domestic use.

The table shows the water consumption by area of the world for agricoltural, we can see that brazil(168 of pepole) which is 36 times more populated than d.p.c.(5,8 million of pepole) has a water consumption per person of 353 m³ instead of the only 8m3 for drc, that because brazil has a lot more of irrigated land, in particular, 265 times more extended.
