The graph illustrates data on the percentage of spending amount on petrol in two different countries. Overall, in the United Kingdom the percentage of income increased according to the total income of the group, while in the United States an opposite trend was observed.
In the United Kingdom the poorest part of population spent under 3 percent of their income on petrol. Moreover, the statistics of the middle-income respondents commenced from almost 3 percent, and up to nearly 4 percent. Furthermore, the richest section of the citizens spent approximately the same amount on petrol expenses.
Oppositely, in the United States a downward trend was recorded, so that the percentage of the poorest group of the population is the highest among all groups. The petrol costs of this group is totally over the 4 percent, even a little proportion of this group spent over 5 percent of their income. However, the trend slightly decrease for the middle-income and the richest groups. The percentage for these parts are just under 5 percent, and around 3 percent accordingly.
