Information provided in the graph illustrates communication in one of the US states between 12-19 year old teenagers. As it is seen from the graph, there was a dramatic rise in using text messages in September 2009, calls on the cell phones remained constant, talk face-to-face fluctuated throughout three years and emailing decreased gradually.
Text messages started to go up rapidly in February 2008, whilst text messaging went down slightly at the same time finishing with 10% of teenagers using this type of communication. This could have happened due to evolution of technology of that time. Talking face-to-face was going up and down during all these three years. The situation is probably going to stay the same next years. In comparison with calls on cell phones, they almost didn’t change starting with around 35% of teens, using them in November 2006 and getting to the point of 40% in September 2009.
To sum it up, nowadays teenagers still prefer calling on cell phones. However, they also enjoy using text messages and talking face-to-face giving up emailing.
