Overall, reading is chosen as the leading habit among children within the 1-8 age range before they sleep whereas the reverse is true for eating, except for the 1-3 age group .
As for children aged 1-3, reading habit accounts for the highest, standing at nearly two-thirds. Around 30% of children prefer brushing their teeth as their night routines, being double that of watching television. Similarly, the percentage of the eating habit is a fifth of the entire share, which constitutes half as much as that of having a bath.
In terms of children within the 4-5 age range, they prefer reading the most, taking up 70%, while only 10% of those who like to eat as their pre-bedtime habit. The figures for brushing teeth, having a bath, and watching are around 45, 35 and 30%, respectively. The reading habit among children aged 6-8 takes up 60%, 10% higher than that of brushing teeth. Children who like having a bath, watching TV and eating occupy roughly 30, 20, and 10%.
