in 1970, Philippines had the most population with a percentage of 31%, followed by Malaysia with 30%. Thailand had the third highest percentage of approximately 19% and indonesia coming in fourth with 14%. in 1980, Philippines had a slight 1% increase, Malaysia had a drastic increase to 40%, Thailand increased to 22% and indonesia remained less than 20%.
Following the 10 years pattern, in 1990, Philippines rose steadily to nearly 50% and Malaysia only slightly increased to about 45%. Thailand improved to 29% and Indonesia improved greatly to 22%. In 2000s, philippines dropped to 45%, Malaysia rose steepily to 60%, and indonesia and thailand both had 28%, a 1% decrease in thailand. in 2010, indoensia and thailand increase was constant. Indonesia improved to 41%, having same percentage population with philippines and Malaysia’s population percentage was 70%. Thailand’s percentage was not impressive at 29%.
2020 saw Malaysia increasing to 75%, remaining the city with the most population, followed by indonesia with 50%, philippines at 45% and finally thailand remaining at 29%. The line graph predicts that Malaysia is expected to increase to 80% in 2030 and 85% in 2040, still taking the lead. Indonesia follows, a;lthough not closely with a predicted rise of 55% and 60% in 2030 and 2040 respectively. Philippines percentage gains momentum slowly, going from 45% to 49% and 50% each in 2030 and 2040. finally, thailand will also gain in population percentage in 2030 and 2040, expecting to increase to 39% and drastically to 45%.
