The line graph compares the cost of bananas per kilogram in four countries – namely Japan, France, Germany, and the USA – over a period of 10 years, from 1994 to 2004

Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the price of banas was the highest in Japan, but it was the opposite in the USA. Furthermore, in all four contries, the price of bananas experienced some fluctuations. Moreover, the expense of bananas in France, Germany, and the USA almost did not change at the end of the year, while this figure increased slightly in Japan.

Regarding bananas price in Japan, it started at just below of 2$ in 1994, then Japan rocketed in price for the following year, and reached a peak of about 2.90$ before falling back to its initial position in 1996. Additionally, the bananas cost varied at around 1.90$ until 2002, then rose to almost 2.50$ at the end of the timeframe.

By contrast, the charge of bananas in France began at around 1.70$ and remained unchanged until the year 1997. Even tough the price fluctuated at about 1.60$, it did not change by the end of the period. Moreover, in Germany and the USA, the price stayed at around 1.40$ and just below of 1$ respectively. Finally, remaining two countries stayed roughly the same until 2004.
