Overall, regarding to the government registrations in five fields, Health category registered the highest amount of the money. Whereas Space, Energy and ‘other’ sectors recorded very close expenses from 1980 to 2008. However, General Science, witnessed the lowest outlay over the same period.
Meanwhile, Health category registered $7 billion in 1980 then gradually increased to show a peak at $23 billions in 2004. In contrast, United States spent around $2.5 billion in General Science field at the beginning of the period, but continued rising to $5 billion and illustrated plateau over the last eight years.
It is noteworthy, that the Energy sector remained the same at $5 billion from 1980 t0 1992 and saw remarkable peak in the middle of the period. While Space and ‘other’ researches started at approximately $ 5 billion then Space graph went up significantly to reach around 8$ billion. In contrast, ‘other’ budget showed slight fall to return to $5 billion.
