The chart illustrates what the number of school leavers did after finishing their studies in a period of 2008-2012.
There was a significant quantity of young people looked for work after leaving school in every year, especially in 2008, with the highest number of 900 people. This option was the most favorable for youngsters in 2008, 2009, and 2012. Nevertheless, there were still a lot of future students who chose to apply for university courses. In 2010 and 2011, nearly 400 school leavers decided do it. In comparison with other years, there was a substantial growth of young people who preferred studying in university. Selecting the alternative of taking a temporary break from education was increasing over the years. Firstly, only 200 people chose it; however, the number of those ones who determined taking a break for themselves grew in more than 50 for 4 years, and, therefore, reached 250 youngsters.
Overall, the most common decision that school leavers made after finishing their studies was looking for work in 2008, 2009, and 2012. In 2010 and 2011, the favorite one was going to university, while taking a temporary break from education wasn’t widespread.
