The blueprints present the distinctive designs of two offices in Japan and America.
In general, typical Japanese style more concentrates on collaboration, while the typical American office follows the private workplace with partitions. Remarkably, the American office deploys one-third of an area for several functional rooms rather than a fully workspace in the Japanese office.
First and foremost, starting with the highest role in the department, the Japanese manager position is situated to the comprehensive perspective at the top center of the office that can easily observe the other operations in the office. Additionally, each Japanese section manager on both sides is joint the workplace with their employees for effective teamwork.
In contrast to the Japanese office, the crucial manager roles in the department are grouped and separated into the east side, which provides a larger workspace compared to the previous layout. Furthermore, this design allows employees to have a private space for individual working that leads to the construction of two conference rooms, in addition to the storage and copy room, located to the left-hand side of the office. Last but not least, Japanese office layout has only one-side windows backwards of the department manager’s seat, while the windows in American office are covered across the Western and Eastern.
