The line graph illustrates how much air pollution different sources emitted in the UK from 1990 to 2005. Overall, within this period, industry and households tend to follow a similar pattern, decreasing over the years. Despite the plummet, industry still kept dominant. Meanwhile, Transport had a distinct path and remained virtually unchanged.
During the first three years, the industry source experienced a mild decrease, before witnessing a remarkable drop of 2 million tonnes over the next three years. Although it marginally slided until 2005, industry constantly held a dominant position.
Exhibiting a unique trend, transport remained virtually unchanged, oscillate at around 1 million tonnes and ranked second. In the other hand, in spite of sharing roughly comparable figures with transport in 1990, households observed a slight fluctuations for the next 15 years. While it experienced a mild increases from 1993 to 1996, it pattern continued a modest in the last six years to the bottom of the graph.
