The graph provided shows different sources of air pollution data collected from the UK since 1990 to 2005.
Overall, the amount of pollutants in the air has decreased over the years since the time it spiked in 1990 till 2005.
Starting in 1990, industrial pollution was at it’s peak with a huge amount of 5 million tonnes of the overall polution. While transport pollution higher than household pollution at approximately 0.5 million tonnes, household pollution was lower at approximately 0.4 million tonnes, making the overall amount of air pollutants at a all time high of 7 million tonnes. In the years following 1993 till 1996, Industrial pollution decreased sharply from 5 million tonnes to 3 million tonnes, while transport pollution was still higher than household pollution, decreasing the overall amount of pollution to about 5 million tonnes. Through the years following 1996, industrial pollution kept decreasing slowly while household and vehicle pollution stayed approxemately the same, the latter being the highest.
