The given line chart illustrates where did air pollutants in UK come from between 1990 and 2005. Overall, all sources of air pollutants experienced declines except for the emissions came from transport has witnessed an opposite trend.
In 1990, industry was by far produced the highest air pollutants, nearly 6 million tonnes of emissions. In contrast, transport and households produced far fewer pollutants, their figures were recorded at the same start point, around 1 million tonnes.
