Overall, it is clear that employment rate of men is higher than women in given countries and period. Moreover, last years saw an increase compared to initial years with small level of emloyment.
In 1995, employment rate of male in Australia started at 56 per cent, then increased to 68% in 2002. On the other hand, share of female was not as high as of male with 28% in 1995, which followed by a slight growth to 38% in 2005. Regarding the Switzerland, percentage of male in 1995 was less than in 2005, with 65 compared to 78. Likewise, women’s employment level rose of 12, accounting for 68 in 2005.
Turning to other countries, in Iceland male employment rate began at 70 in 1995, then reached its peak at 84 in 2005. Female share saw an increase of 12, constituting 52 during ten-year period. UK, New Zealand and USA experienced a growth in employment rate among men, reaching 70 in 2005. Female percentage began at 50 in 1995 in UK, then it rose to 62. While New Zealand’s female employment increased of 14, reaching 42, share USA accounted for 60 in 2005.
