The line graph illustrates the number of time taken to produse a vehicle by four car manufacturers namely,Nissan,Darmler Chrysler,General Motors and ford in the 4 years, between 1998 and 2002.Overall, there was a clear downward trend in the vehicle production time over the analysed period,with Nissan achieving the most significant decrease.Ford on the other hand experienced a gradual increase.
In 1998,Nissan had the highest time production approximately 37 hours per vehicle,however,this figure dropped sharply around 21 hours by 2002. DC started with 34 hours,fluctuated slightly around 32 hours per vehicle until 2001, and by the end of the period it declined to 28 hours.
As for the figure for GM fell by 2 hours per year over the period to remain so untill 2002, reaching approximately 24 hours .At the time Ford levelled off at around 25 hours from 1998 to 1999,and then rose gradually to 26 hours after three years.
