The line graph illustrates the average monthly change in the values of three metals throughout the whole year of 2014.
Overall, it is evident that Nickel had the biggest change in price compared with other two metals. Moreover, all three metals experienced a significant dip in June before maintaining steady for three months.
Initially, Nickel had the highest percentage(6%) and the price plummeted to 1% in March, then remained stable for two months, before falling further to -3% in June. Zinc started with 1% in January and the proportion increased slowly to 3% and declined gradually to -1% in June. Both metals’ percentage rose after June and remained steady from July to September, then decreased slightly in October. At the end of the period, Nickel and Zinc rose dramatically and reached 1% and 2%, respectively.
Lastly, Copper began with 2% in the first month and the figure fell moderately until May, and remained steady for one month.Furthermore, the figure then faced a growth in July and stayed unchanged until September. Within the four months, there was a slight dip in value of Copper and finally it reached 1.5% in December.
