The line graph illustrated the average monthly fluctuations in the prices of three metals throughout the year 2014.
Overall, there are a lot of fluctuations and striking similarities in the graph. It is noticeable that the lowest rates of all prices can be seen in June. Furthermore, from July to September, trends witnessed constant stability.
The initial ratio of the nickel was 6%, making it the highest in the whole graph. Meanwhile, the copper and zinc accounted for 2% and 1%, respectively. There was a dramatic fall in nickel to 1% in March. Then, having seen one month’s stability, it dropped again to -3% in June. When it comes to copper and zinc, they also had declines in the same month, reaching -0.5% and -1% in order, after experiencing some fluctuations.
Interestingly, during the three months of July, August, and September, the prices of nickel, zinc, and copper remained stable at 1%, -0.5%, and -1%, respectively. In November, all three metals experienced an upward trend, which persisted until December, with nickel reaching 1%, copper 1.5%, and zinc 2%.
