the graph illustrates the changes in elephants’ population between 1997 and 2204.
overall, the population of Asian elephants had decreased since 1997 except China and Cambodia which had upward trend and India had the highest number of elephants in Asia.
India in 1997 had roughly 10000 elephants and in continuing years it decreased sharply to 7500 during 13 years. then, Myanmar had the second vast majority of animals with just above 5000 which go down slightly below 5000.
then, there are Malasia and Thailand with 2700 and 3500 number of animals and they decreased sharpy to 1000 with the same amount. after that, we face with Vietnam and Laos with about same number during 13 years. finally, Cambodia and China have been left which both of them had been growing during 13 years, and Cambodia increased slightly whereas China grow up moderately and got doubled and reached to 1500 in 2004.
