Similarly, a high proportion of users accessed goods and services, with approximately 70% of men compared to about 65% of women. Gaming was also significantly more popular among males, at roughly 65%, while the figure for females was closer to 55%.
Regarding social interaction, about 50% of men used chat rooms, compared to just under this figure for women (around 45%). In contrast, online shopping was more prevalent among females, with nearly 40% engaging in it, whereas only about 25% of males did so. Finally, research and education were the least common uses, with approximately 15% of men and only around 10% of women participating in these activities.
