The graph illustrates the amount of wheat sold overseas by three different locations during the time period from 1985 to 1990.

Overall, among the three Canada has shown the larges fluctuation in export, followed by the European community and Australia. This country was also the main provider of the grain, by selling more than double the amount of the other two at some point.

In 1985, almost the market was dominated by Canada with almost 20 million tonnes of wheat exported, and despite the dip in 1985, that number grew consistantly until 1988, where it reached its peak of 25 million, which is also the biggest of all time. after that year the figure plumitted below 15 million, and Canada was no longer at the top. On the other hand, the market share of the European community dropped to it’s lowest point, from around 17 million to just below 15 million, after that it remained stagnant, but in 1988, it started to rise and by 1990, it reached more than 20 million surpassing canada to become the number one exporter. the saler with least volatile market is the Australia, although it increased slightly to over 15 million in 1986, all the years after that, the export figure has been dropping stedyly.
