Overall, the immigration rate in China and Japan increased throughout the period. Meanwhile this figure declined in Russia becoming the last at the rate shifting with China.
The number of immigrants in China experienced a dramatic growth in the given 40 years. Beginning as the lowest immigration rate with only 5% in 1960, China reached the peak in 2020 with around 27% becoming a country with the highest number of refugees. There was a significant drop of this number in Russia from 25% in 1960 to less than 5% in 2000. Russia faced a slight rise in 2020 to just over 5%.
This rate remained relatively the same for Japan. There was a gradual fall in this percentage in 1980 to just around 10%. After that, the number of refugees in Japan started growing constantly to just over 15% in 20
