Overall, it is clear that the figure for Japanese and Chinese migrants saw a upward trend over the whole period, while the opposite could be observed in the case of Russian migrations. This figure was followed by a dramatic fall from 1960 to 2020.
Turning to details, we can see positive tandencies in the figure of emigrant in China and Japan. The rate of people who are immigrant communities in China increased moderately from 5% to 20% over the first two decades, and this index continued rising to just above 25% in the final year, while this figure reached a peak at about 27% in 2020. However, the share of newcomer in Japan witnessed a minimal drop from over 12% to 10% over the first half,which was followed by a significant rise to 15% in 2020.
If we look at Russia, this figure declined sharply from 25% to just under 5% between 1960 and 2000, and at that time this rate bottomed out at over 4%. The rate of immigration in Russia went up to 5% at the end of the span.
