Overall, subway and tram have shown increases in consumption since the start of the period, with expectations for even more reliance on these transport sources. Bus and bike share have accounted for considerably less consumption with projections for a similar trend.
In terms of the most significant feature of the line graph, the most green transportation usage was subway. Subway started at 2.5 million ridership in 1980, then it rose rapidly with a prediction of 4.5 million by 2030. Additionally, tram followed a similar rising trend. It is predicted that it will have surpassed 2 million ridership by 2030.
In stark contrast, bus began the period at above 1.5 million ridership and showed declines in their use, it consumption fell to just under one million by the last year. Bike share is projected to remain relatively unchanged until 2030.
