Overall, there was an upward trend in the number of hospital beds, Australia and Sweden physicians, as opposed to the downfall of physicians in France and the average stay in hospital, while the figure for Australia remained unchanged.
First, the Austria and Sweden physicians rose by 0,2 in the final year, while the figure for Sweden experienced a slight decrease in 1990. In contrast, the number of physicians per 1000 people in France underwent a considerable fall from 2,4 to 1,3 in 2000. Meanwhile, the number of hospital beds per 1000 people recorded the similar patterns in Australia, France and Sweden , which witnessed a significant rise from 1.4 to 3.7, from 0,2 to 1,6 and from 6,4 to 6,9 throughout the period given respectively.
The average stay in hospitals in Australia experienced a mild downfall from 18 to 6 before returning to the initial data at 18 in the year of 2000. On the other hand, Sweden and France average stays in hospitals recorded a similar trend, which underwent a slight decline from 23 to 21 and from 9 to 5 in the course of 20 years.
