The given line graph illustrates information about the quantity of car production between 2020 and 2035 in China, the UK, Japan and the USA. Numbers are measured in hundreds of thousands.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that from 2020 to 2035, the trend of car manufacture in four major countries will be seeing a decline with the exception of China. China’s car production will be the only one witnessing growth until the end of the period.
On the one hand, Japan, which originally marked as the country with the highest car production at approximately 350 in 2020, is projected to have plummeted all the way to exactly 100 in 2035. Prior to hitting a bottom in 2035, Japan will have risen up to just below 400 in 2025. From this point onwards, it is set only to decline, reaching precisely 300 in 2030.
Furthermore, the UK started at precisely 200 in 2020, just accurately 100 below the USA. Surprisingly, the gap between them is estimated to narrow further by 2025, where the UK will be slightly just below the USA, which will be at the UK’s starting point. Five years hence, the UK will have dropped again to exactly 100. However, by then the USA will have suffered a steeper decline, meeting the UK at the same point. By the end of the period, the UK will be wavering at just about 50 while the USA will be hovering just above zero.
On the other hand, China, which commenced as the lowest in producing cars at precisely 100 in 2020, managed to maintain a stable growth over the whole period. From 2020 onwards, it gained a precisely 3.3% annually. It is forecasted to be at around 150, also overtaking other countries by 2035.
