Overall, while the number complaints related to traffic, households, and factories increased significantly in an upward trend, the number complaints about noise of road work fluctuated in a downward trend. In addition, road work noise was the lowest figure at the end of the period.
In terms of rising trends, the complaints of traffic and households between 1980 and 1988 had similar fluctuations. From 1980 to 1984, the number of complaints about traffic and households remained relatively stable, at 300 and 500 respectively. These figures declined to 200 and 400 in 1984 and continued unchanged to 1988. Both figures increased dramatically after 1988, the complaints of households became the highest figure with 1200 and the complaints of traffic became the third highest figure with 600. While complaints related to traffic and households remained unchanged at the beginning of the period, the noise made by factories rose from 400 to 700. During 1986 and 1996 the number of complaints about factories fell slightly to 680.
By contrast, complaints about road work saw a downward trend throughout the period. In 1980, road work complaints had the highest figure with 600. Nevertheless, this figure dropped steadily during the period and became the lowest figure with 95 at the end of the period.
