The line graph illustrates how many questions were received by the Tourist Information Office in one city from January to June over a period in 2011.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the numbers of visitors to the city who made more inquiries in-person and telephone, while the opposite was true for the remaining sites. In addition, although the figure for questions in-person was the lowest in the beginning, it ranked first at the end of the period.
Looking first at the numbers of in-person inquiries which started at the lowest point of around 400 surveys in Januaruary, in-person inquiries increased steadily and surpassed phone and email/letter in April with around 1200 surveys. In June, this was the highest chunk compared to other fields, with nearly 2000 surveys. The telephone method had a higher starting point of about 900; thereafter, it fluctuated from approximately 700 to 1000 in two months and continued increasing in the sum to precisely around 1600 surveys in June.
Turning to remaining fields, in Januaruary, the numbers of inquiries by letter and email underwent a slight decline from under 800 surveys and decreased to only around 600 surveys in April. Finally, the quota of enquiries written by letters/mail remains unchanged until the end of the period, respectively.
