The given line graph demonstrates the amount of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city for a six-month period in 2011. The graph has three lines representing inquiries made in-person, by letter/email, and the telephone. Overall, the highest number of inquiries received was by face-to-face meetings by travelers, however with approximately half the number in letter/email sent.
During the onset of the year, personal enquiries were the least favored having the lowest inquiries of about 400 in number and growth dramatically around 1800 which was almost five times from its initial position to become the high spot. Furthermore, phone calls were the most commonly used method about 800 in January which was double to personal occasions to the office and growth gradually over a six-month reaching 1600 despite a dip in February falling short.
On the other hand, the letter/email method was one of the most used to get information by travelers starting in January, almost 800, while there was a plateau between February and March. It was followed by gradual fall within two months from March until May and it remained unchanged in June. This showed a downward trend that reached twice the drop in June compared to its previous.
