The line graph illustrates how many questions a city’s tourist office got over a six-month period in 2011 via three different channels: in-person, by letter or email, and by telephone.
Overall, it is evident that the number of questions got through telephone and person underwent an upward trend while the number for email had a reserve trend. Notably, while letter/ email inquiries saw a slow decrease, the figure for in-person witnessed a remarkable increase.
From January to June, the number of questions obtained through in-person showed the most dramatic growth before reaching a peak of 1900 in June. In the first third months, the number of inquiries by letter/email saw a slight decrease from 800 to 700 in February, followed by a small incline of 50 to 750 in March. In the next 4 months, there was a significant fall in the line of letter/email, from 750 to roughly 300 in May and it reached a plateau in June.
Additionally, the number of inquiries by telephone saw a significant increase. From January to March, there was a slight decline from 900 to 800 in February before having a rise of 200 to 1000 in March. Between March and April, the line remained constant. In the next 3 months, the data for inquiries by telephone surged by 600, at 1600.
